One of the most exciting milestones in the history of Lil’ Marco and Friends has arrived.
We’re officially hiring our very first Character Performer to bring Lil’ Marco to life throughout the Dallas–Fort Worth community.
For years, families have met Lil’ Marco through our books, school visits, literacy events, farmers markets, festivals, and community programs. Now we’re taking the next step by expanding our team so even more children can experience the joy, confidence, and encouragement that Lil’ Marco represents.
More Than a Costume
This role is about much more than wearing a mascot costume.
It’s about greeting a child with a warm wave.
Sharing a high-five after story time.
Dancing with students during a literacy celebration.
Posing for photos that become treasured family memories.
Every appearance is an opportunity to help children discover that reading is fun, learning is exciting, and they are capable of achieving great things.
Who We’re Looking For
We’re searching for someone who is:
- Positive and energetic
- Dependable and professional
- Comfortable working with children
- Passionate about making a positive impact
- Excited to represent a mission-driven organization
Experience in education, theatre, dance, recreation, children’s ministry, or children’s entertainment is a plus—but the most important qualification is a joyful heart and a genuine love for encouraging children.
